Anegada is the northernmost island of the British Virgin Islands and is the only coral island in the Virgin Islands’ volcanic chain. While the other islands are mountainous, Anegada is flat and low. Its highest point is only about 28 feet above sea level and about 15 square miles (38 square kilometers), making Anegada the second largest of the British Virgin Islands. Anegada is known for the dramatic and vibrant coral reefs that surround the shoreline, quiet sandy beaches and clear springs bubbling from coral beds.
